28 Weeks!

It is so hard to believe that I am starting the third trimester of this pregnancy. Ruby Anne will be here before we know it. I am sure that time is just going to fly by with the holidays.

Based on babycenter.com, she weighs 2 1/4 lbs and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open and close her eyes, which now sport lashes...beautful, long ones if they are anything like her brothers :)

My next doctor's appointment is next Friday...get to have another ultrasound. I can't wait to see her precious face again!

Matthew went to his first rodeo last night with his Nana. He looked so cute dressed in his plaid shirt and overalls...and boots "just like Daddy's".

I really want to do a better job of blogging. It is so much easier to write things down when they happen verses looking back and trying to remember.

So sorry....

I am so sorry that I have been such a terrible blogger.

In case you haven't heard, we are expecting baby #2 on Feb. 2nd.

We actually found out last week that we are having a GIRL!!!

We weren't going to find out, but to be honest...I changed my mind :)

Summer has officially come to an end...I am back at school and we are set in our new routine.

We are getting ready to celebrate Matthew's 2nd Birthday...

I can't believe that he is already going to be 2!!!

He can tell you that his birthday is in "September", that he will be "2" and that he is having an "Elmo Party"!!!

My little gardener...

I have a little extra help in the garden these days...

When I say garden, he gets very excited and heads for the bridge...

the beans are growing...

the tomatoes are in their cages...

Matt really likes to use his shovel in the garden while I am picking weeks.

We worked up a sweat...as a treat, He enjoyed his first Capri Sun.

I think that he likes it :)

20 Months

Matthew turned 20 Months old this month. Since the 25th was during the last week of school, I thought that I would wait a few days and do a better job with this post.

I took a picture of Matt last summer that was one of my favorites.
He recently tried on some overalls and we had a retake.

His smile is priceless ;)

I found this dump truck (Matt calls it his tow truck) at a yard sale. Matt loves to push it around the yard and driveway. His favorite thing to do is collect rocks from the flower bed and dump them EVERYWHERE!!

He loves our new cat...Spots...poor cat puts up with a lot from Matt...even getting picked up by his tail!

I have a feeling that we are going to spend some time in the pool this summer :)

Welcome Summer!!!!

18 & 19 Months Old

Sorry that I missed a month. I kept meaning to put in the information from Matt's 18 month checkup, but kept leaving it in his diaper bag. Before I knew it, we are now at 19 months! Since there were no pictures last time, I made sure there were a few this time. Enjoy!

Matthew loves to help feed the cows in the morning (we only get to do this one the weekend) and help feed the dogs in the afternoon. He is waiting for his grandpa in this picture.

I had to clean off the dirt and bring it inside.

We went to the zoo the last day of my Spring Break.

It was SO crowded, but we had a great time...me, Matthew, Sue Sue and Noah...or Noma as Matt calls him :)

17 Months Old

Ok, I am a couple of days late on the monthly update. This week has seemed so long. I think that it is the only full week of school that we have had the whole month of Feb.!! We are over our limit of snow days. The school hasn't decided where to put the make-up days yet....

Matthew is now 17 months old...he continues to talk and seems to understand more and more each day. His newest word is TWO. When you give him a (one) cookie or cracker, he keeps saying TWO until he has one for each hand. You say one, he says two.

He is also working on three new teeth. He has 4 on the top front and working on the 4th on the bottom. His top two molars have broken through and he is now getting the bottom two. He likes to point to his mouth and say teeth. I am thankful that they haven't seemed to bother him too much.

I am ready for SPRING!!! It is about that time! We have already started to have baby calves. I think that we are up to six. Matt loves to go and feed the cows (he calls them Moo Moos) with his daddy. He even got to pet a baby that was in the barn...priceless memories!!!

It was really warm here last weekend. Matt got to play outside. It was a taste of what is to come. He loved to play in the rocks and cried when it was time to come in. I am looking forward to the spring and all of the new experiences that Matt will have on the farm.

Sorry that there are no pictures...I will work on that.

Snow Days

Spaghetti is still one on Matthew's favorite meals.

I make sure to make it on bath night. :)

Matt didn't take a nap on Super Bowl Sunday...he fell asleep eating his dinner.

He was OUT!!! We woke him up after an hour so that he would sleep during the night.

Matt likes to play in the snow.

He has had a cold, so we haven't been out in the snow too much.

16 Months Old

Matt turned 16 months old on January 25th. He is growing up so fast. He is talking more and more each day. He now knows the sign language for please and thank you. He tries to repeat almost everything. His favorite cartoon is Blue Clues. I think that is why one of his newest words is blue :) Below Matt is just hanging out during our latest snow day. I had my own personal snow day when I couldn't get out of the driveway.

Christmas Break '09

A few odds and ends from Christmas Break.

15 Months Old - Happy New Year!

I have to apologize. I have been a terrible blogger. I got an external drive for Christmas and spent New Years Eve exporting all my pictures, so now the laptop is working quicker. It makes it easier for blogging :)

Today when Matthew woke from his nap he was in a great mood.

He shared a few of the things that he is doing these days...

Where are your teeth?
He currently has four on top, three on the bottom, and is working on the top two 1 year molars.

Where's your head?

Where is Mommy?

Can you say "Please"?
It is supposed to just be one hand, but he gets excited and uses two.
He is also saying his own version of please...just precious!
It makes it hard to say no to him.

Words that Matthew uses: Mommy, Daddy, Me (himself), please, hot (I am not sure that he know the meaning, but when I am cooking he goes to the stove and says...hot hot hot.), pop pop (popcorn) and beep beep!

Other thinks that Matt can do at 15 months:

He drinks out of a straw and eats with a fork.

He is a climber... he loves to sit in Daddy's chair and he climbs from his chair onto the couch.

The newest thing is running around the house "screaming".
I don't know where that came from, but it is cute.
