Guess who is 4 months old?!

It is so hard to believe that Matt is already 4 months old. Boy does time fly...he is getting SO BIG! We went to the doctor of Friday because he has been feeling a little under the weather...it is just a virus. I guess that we just have to let it run its course. One plus of going to the doctor is that he was weighed...our little guy is 14 lb 13.8 oz. That is only .02 oz away from doubling his birth weight!



So what's new with Matt?

* Matt loves looking at his mobile.
* Matt just got a new Exersaucer...it has a farm theme...too cute!


* Mommy can't believe it, but Matt is wearing 3-6 month clothes...she hasn't packed up the 0-3 months yet. She is having a hard time with him growing up so fast.
* Matt has the most precious smile.
* Matt just started laughing out loud.
* While we were waiting at the doctor, mommy noticed that Matt was holding on to his toy for the first time.


* Matt has very strong legs...mommy is wondering if he might walk before he crawls!?
* Matt is getting really close to rolling over...it should be any day now.
* Mommy is wondering if Matt might have some teeth coming soon...he has been drooling tons.

16 1/2 Weeks

These are my favorite PJs...Matthew is growing so fast.
This may be the last time that he gets to wear them :(
It is about time to pack away the rest of the 0-3 month clothes.

Not Me Monday!

Ok, so I have wanted to try this for a long time and so here it goes....

I most certainly did not enjoy my 31st birthday this week. Nor did I decide that 31 was too old so I am going to start counting backwards!

I did not get overly excited about the installation of our new kitchen cabinets and take numerous pictures from every angle...no NOT ME.


I did not have my most mommy moment when Matthew decided to throw up ALL OVER ME at 3am. I did not just throw my hair up in a ponytail and try to go back to sleep! That would be totally gross! I did change my pjs...that would have been completely disgusting!

I would never be on the computer instead of going to sleep and getting the rest that I need.

And last but not least, I would never let two weeks go by without updating my blog with a picture my precious little Matthew! (Thanks Aunt Beth for the outfit!) There is NO way that he is turning 16 weeks on Thursday!

A Belate Merry Christmas!

It is so hard to believe that Matthew is 3 months old! The picture above shows what Matthew did while we opened Christmas presents on Christmas Eve! He looked so peaceful! I have a feeling that next year he will be a little different :)

He did wake up in time for a visit from Santa! Luckily he didn't pull on his beard too hard.

11 Weeks

Ok, I have inserted the pictures backwards...still working on my blogging skills :)

Matt tried on his Christmas outfit this morning.
If you can't read it, the shirt says "Elf in Training"
He is going to school me with on Friday to meet my students.
It should be a fun, eventful day!

House Progress: We now have a front porch!
I am dreaming of summer evenings, drinking sweet tea and rocking on the porch!
For those of you don't know, the porch used to be my closet!
It really adds a lot of character to the front of the house.

What a blessing Debbie has been since I have gone back to work!

9 & 10 Weeks

Ok, I am almost a week behind, so I am going to combine 2 weeks together. Matt and I were both a little under the weather. His doctor said he had a cold and I had a sinus infection. He had his 2 month check-up on Monday (a week after his "sick" appointment).

weight: 12lbs 3.4oz - 55%

length: 23 1/2 inches - 60%

head: 15.85 inches - 48%

He has still been a little congested, which just breaks my heart.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with family. Matt's Thanksgiving bib was a little big, but he just had to have his picture taken in it!

I went back to work on Monday. It was good to see my students...they seemed glad that I was back. However, I missed my baby boy! I know that he is in great hands while I am at work. He has an AWESOME sitter :)! I try not to call more than once a day! I appreciate her patience with me.

Now that I am back at work, I am amazed at how much he seems to growing and changing daily. Last night I noticed that he was able to make the toys move on his bouncy seat...too cute!
