Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

We spent Valentine's Day with Daddy at the Farm Machinery Show. There were lots of BIG farm toys! I am sure that next year Matt will want to "ride" on all of them.

We tried cereal for the first time this week...you can see that it was a little messy.

He did well for the first time...

Matt newest thing is sticking out his tongue...it is really cute. I will work on getting a picture of that.

Beautiful Baby Contest!

I totally forgot that I had entered Matt in the Today’s Family magazine’s Beautiful Baby Contest. My friend Jennifer called me yesterday and said that his picture was in the magazine. Matt is one of 140 babies in the contest! If he wins, he will be on the cover of the June edition. Wouldn’t that be fun!?

4 Month Check-up

We have had an exciting week that included power outages and a trip to the doctor. Matt and I spent a few days at home with Daddy since he didn't lose electricity. It was so nice to be home. Can't wait til it is for good!

On Saturday, Sue Sue picked me and Matt up at the house. We went and got Noah and headed to the mall. We met Joel, Lee-Anne, Nate and Naomi there. The kids enjoyed riding the rides.


We went to the doctor on Monday for Matt's 4 Month Check-up. Here are his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs & 7 oz - 50%
Head: 70%
Height: 75%

Matt got two shots...one in each leg...he cried...it broke Mommy's heart. :(


Noah stayed the night on Monday....he loved playing with Baby Matt. Here they are in a box together...


The morning after...

Snow Days

So here it is 11:40 on what should be a school night. Tomorrow will be the second snow day in a row! Got the news that they called off school about 10:30.

Prior to that: We lost electricity about two hours ago. Right in the middle of the most exciting part of Biggest Loser...the weigh in!

If we don't have electricity, how am I on the computer you may ask!? I thought maybe it would work since the laptop is wireless and the internet goes through the phone lines...I was RIGHT!

So here I am sitting in the dark...typing on a blog...

Matt and I are in Sue Sue and Pops' living room. Daddy brought us a heater! I saw a LG&E truck go down the road a little bit ago...maybe the electricity won't be out long...let's hope.

It has been kind of creepy sitting here in the dark. There are tree branches breaking from the ice...it sounds terrible. I hope that there isn't too much damage.

I don't have much time on the computer because it hasn't been keeping its charge too well lately. Just thought I would put down my random thoughts...sorry if this is too boring.

Sorry no picture....

Matt rolled over for the first time today. He has been really close for almost a week. We stopped by the house to see Daddy. Mommy put him on the bed and he rolled over right away. It was like he was waiting to roll over for Daddy! I will try to get it on video.

Guess who is 4 months old?!

It is so hard to believe that Matt is already 4 months old. Boy does time fly...he is getting SO BIG! We went to the doctor of Friday because he has been feeling a little under the weather...it is just a virus. I guess that we just have to let it run its course. One plus of going to the doctor is that he was weighed...our little guy is 14 lb 13.8 oz. That is only .02 oz away from doubling his birth weight!



So what's new with Matt?

* Matt loves looking at his mobile.
* Matt just got a new Exersaucer...it has a farm theme...too cute!


* Mommy can't believe it, but Matt is wearing 3-6 month clothes...she hasn't packed up the 0-3 months yet. She is having a hard time with him growing up so fast.
* Matt has the most precious smile.
* Matt just started laughing out loud.
* While we were waiting at the doctor, mommy noticed that Matt was holding on to his toy for the first time.


* Matt has very strong legs...mommy is wondering if he might walk before he crawls!?
* Matt is getting really close to rolling over...it should be any day now.
* Mommy is wondering if Matt might have some teeth coming soon...he has been drooling tons.
