The First Weekend of the Summer!

Matthew took a ride in the wagon with the ladies...

As you can tell, Matt really enjoyed his trip to Home Depot this week. He didn't even notice that we were ever there. Many people commented....that is what I would like to be doing!

We have door knobs! Before the remodel, we only had one doorway (besides the outside doors) that actually had a door...that was the bathroom. We now have bedroom doors that have door knobs!

Thanks to Aunt Beth and Nana, Matthew's bed is put together!
He took his first nap in it on Saturday.

We've also had a few firsts this week. Matthew can now sit himself up. He is actually starting to pull himself up! Watch out world it won't be long!

Matt has also been working on his first teeth. One has broken through on the bottom, but I think the bottom two are actually coming in. This teething thing is tough!

The answer to the million dollar question!

When are we moving home?

Matt and I will be moving home on Monday!
It will probably take us a little while to move all of the "stuff".

To every thing there is a season and the seasons of our lives are changing. We couldn't begin to thank Sue Sue and Pops enough for letting us stay with them while the house was being remodeled. They have both been so helpful with Matt...actually I don't know what we would have done without them!

Now to be a family of 3 under one roof! Let the summer begin!

Matt and Noah

Over the past 8 months, Matt and Noah have had several sleepovers at Sue Sue's. It is amazing how much they have both grow. Take a look for yourself!

This picture is one of the first times that Noah saw Matt.

Noah is such a good helper. He likes to feed "Baby Matt". It was good practice for his newest role as a big brother to "Baby Luke".

I think that Matt is catching up with Noah in the size department.

This one was taken tonight. It is so much fun seeing the boys play together.

It won't be long before Matt and I are home and having sleepovers at our house!

8 Months Old!

I know that I usually start these monthly updates this way, but, boy time flies! I can hardly believe that my baby boy is already 8 months old!

What is Matt up to these days? He loves to play peek a boo...he has the most precious laugh and look of surprise. He is eating stage three baby foods and loves puffs! Daddy even let him have a Ritz cracker last night! An army crawl is still his mode of transportation. He is getting really fast. Can't let him out of your sight.

I am currently sitting at a desk in our new office...typing on a computer that is hooked up to the internet! We are making progress! I can't get the wireless to work, so there won't be any pictures...sorry. I will work on that!

Taylor is too excited that we got a couch back in the house on Saturday. He has been sitting in an office chair for several months! All that he wanted to do this weekend was sit on the couch and watch the NASCAR race...he got the couch, but the race was rained out.

Matt and I stayed the night at our house last night since I don't have school today. Only 3 1/2 more days of school...with students!

7 Months Old!

Can you believe it?
I can't believe it!
Matt is 7 months old. Where has the time gone?

Progress is being made on the house. The latest...the wood floors are finished!

I LOVE the kitchen! I can't wait to get home and cook.
I am sure that Taylor can't wait either. Peanut butter and popcorn can get old.


Matt is now sitting up really good by himself. He loves remotes. He is currently sitting in Sue Sue's lap chewing on one! Not a good habit. He is now eating stage 2 foods. There are some really interesting combinations of foods. I think that Matt's favorite is still cereal with prunes...yummy!
He just got his new car seat. I think that he likes it. What do you think?

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Matt's cousin Baby Luke. He is due on May 22nd. I have a feeling that he is going to arrive sooner...we will see! I can't wait to be an aunt again! It is one of my favorite things in the whole world!

Spring Break

Spring Break is quickly coming to an end :(

We have had a busy week.

It all started with a trip to Kosair bright and early Monday morning for an MRI. We had to be there at 7 am. Matt had to be NPO after 1 am and couldn't have any clear liquids after 4 am. I was really worried that Matt would be fussy, but God is SO GOOD! He did really well. They have a new Sedation Wing completely dedicated to what other than...Sedations. They were very nice. Matt didn't really care for the medicine, but it did the job. I rocked him to sleep and then they took him for his test. Taylor and I went to get some breakfast. Matt got back to the room not long after we got back. He was actually awake when they brought him in, but he fell right back to sleep. They said that he would either be grumpy or sleepy...he was very sleepy.

Tuesday I spent the days shopping with my sisters and Matt spent the day with Sue Sue. We went to the Gap Outlet and IKEA...my idea of a perfect shopping day! Sue Sue, Matt and I went to Portrait Innovations on Wednesday to get his first "official" pictures. They took over 50...it was so hard to make choices. I think that they turned out pretty good. I will let you decide for yourselves.

And that is just a few of them!

Thursday I spent the day cleaning the house. I had some awesome help! Thanks ladies! Matt spent the day with his aunts. We cleaned for 5 hours!

Matt had his 6 month well check-up on Friday morning at 8:30 am...I scheduled that one...what was I thinking? The doctor said that Matt was "awesome"...those are his words! He weighs 18 lb 11 oz and is 27 inched long. The doctor said that the MRI results were normal. That was great to hear. He got 2 shots and one immunization orally. He doesn't go back until July...9 months.

Saturday Matt went to his first Big Boy Birthday Party. His cousin Nate turned 5 this week! He had a boys only Spiderman party. Sue Sue took Matt so that I could get some more cleaning done at the house...getting paint and drywall mud off the subfloor...fun times!

Can you believe it?

Matthew is 6 months old today!

Matt loves spending his week days with Mrs. Debbie. The picture below was taken one afternoon after I picked him up. He was asleep before I even got to our driveway...only a couple of miles down the road. They must have had a busy day :)

I am on Spring Break next week...I can hardly wait!

In case you didn't know: We have an appointment at Kosair on Monday morning for an MRI. They are going to check the spot on Matt's lower back (really the top of his butt). I am not concerned about the MRI or even the results whatever they may or may not show. I just don't like the idea of putting our little man to sleep. So if you think about it, say a little prayer that we have a positive experience. He also has to go NPO after 4am...that should be fun, he usually doesn't miss a meal :)

Matt then has his well 6 month check-up on Friday. I didn't realize that it was Spring Break when I make the appointment for 8:30 in the morning!

The house is coming along...should only be a few more weeks!

24 Weeks

It is so hard to believe that Matthew is 24 weeks old!
It seems like he is doing something new every day.
He continues to love his bath-time.

He holds onto things with both hands.

We are so blessed to have a happy baby!
